About

No jargon. No
judgment. Just work.

Hey — I'm Stephanie. I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in New York City, and I take my work seriously without taking myself too seriously.

My clients are the kind of people who are great at everything except the internal stuff. High achievers, overthinkers, people-pleasers, the chronically "fine." I love working with anyone who's ready to stop performing and start actually figuring things out.

I draw on psychodynamic theory, attachment science, and a genuine curiosity about what makes people tick. Sessions feel less like homework and more like the most useful conversation you've had all week.

What I work with

You don't have to be in crisis to deserve support.

01
Anxiety & Overthinking

Your brain is running a marathon and you didn't sign up for it. Perfectionism, spiraling, and the constant hum of dread.

02
Relationships & Attachment

The same patterns, different people. Intimacy fears, communication, people-pleasing, and figuring out what you actually need.

03
Life Transitions

Breakups, career pivots, moves, the terrifying middle of becoming someone new. Those seasons where nothing feels solid.

04
Identity & Self-Worth

Who are you when nobody's watching? Cultural identity, the gap between who you are and who you think you should be.

05
Depression & Low Mood

Numbness, going through the motions, the flat feeling that's hard to explain to people who haven't felt it.

06
Career & Burnout

You worked so hard to get here — so why does it feel like this? Burnout, imposter syndrome, and reconnecting to purpose.

How it works

Warm, direct,
no-nonsense.

I'm not going to sit in silence waiting for you to figure out what to say. Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational — we follow what's alive, notice patterns as they emerge, and actually talk about what's happening. You'll leave sessions feeling something shifted, not just vented.

01
Free Consult

A 20-minute call. We see if there's a fit. No awkward sales pitch, I promise.

02
Initial Sessions

We get into your story — what brought you here, what's underneath it, what you want to be different.

03
Ongoing Work

Weekly sessions that build on each other. Insight, patterns, real change — not just venting.

04
You, Evolved

The goal is always your independence. You'll know when you're ready — and you'll actually be ready.

What clients say

Real words from real people.

★★★★★

"Stephanie is the first therapist who made me feel like I wasn't just doing a performance of therapy. She's warm and sharp and she remembers everything. I came in a mess — I left with actual clarity."

M., 34 — Marketing Director, Brooklyn
★★★★★

"I was the world's most skeptical therapy client. Stephanie didn't try to convince me — she just started being really useful, and eventually I forgot to be skeptical. Two years in and I'm a completely different person."

J., 29 — Architect, Manhattan
★★★★★

"She has this incredible ability to say the thing you've been circling for months, in exactly the right way, at exactly the right moment. I've never felt more seen — or more challenged to grow."

R., 41 — Physician, Upper East Side
FAQ

The questions everyone
actually wants answered.

Do you take insurance?
I'm out-of-network, which means I'm not on any panels — but I do provide monthly superbills so you can get reimbursed through your PPO plan. Many clients get 40–70% back. Sliding scale is available if you need it.
Where are you located?
In-person sessions are in New York City. I also see clients via telehealth throughout New York State — same experience, more flexibility.
What's a session actually like?
50 minutes, weekly. There's no agenda to prepare or homework to do. We just talk — about whatever feels most alive that week — and over time, we start seeing the threads that connect it all.
How long until I feel better?
Honestly? Some people notice a shift in a few weeks. Real change usually takes longer — 6 months to a year is common, and some people do deeper long-term work. We'll be honest with each other about how it's going.
Are you LGBTQ+ affirming?
Yes, completely. My practice is affirming across all identities, orientations, and relationship structures. Full stop.
